Our Commitment
The Ontario Snow Resorts Association (OSRA) actively promotes environmental best practices to its membership. We believe that by improving the social, cultural, environmental, and economic performance of our industry. As a result ski, snowboard and snow tubing facilities across Ontario will continue to develop and adopt sustainable environmental practices in their operations. OSRA has signed the Environmental Sustainability 2030 Pledge demonstrating our commitment to improving the sustainability performance of our organization under The United Nations World Tourism Organization and GreenStep. As we move forward, we commit to measuring and improving our sustainability performance in the following ways:
- Implement policy that supports local businesses and services that are aligned with environmental best practices and continue to focus on operational decisions that reduce our carbon footprint and negative impact on our local environment.
- Promote sustainability and stewardship best practices among our membership and assist in the development and delivery of seminars and training that advance this goal.
- Follow the requirements and commitments of the Sustainable Tourism 2030 Pledge by constantly exploring innovative ways to nurture and celebrate our contribution to our industry and local communities.
