
The Director of Sales & Group Services will design, implement, and monitor group and B2B sales strategies and initiatives that align with our brand and business goals to achieve revenue targets in excess of $30 million. They will engage Sales and Services team with strategies and initiatives that achieve visitation, maximize all streams of revenue and yield targets as well as create revolutionary guest experiences that drive loyalty. They will lead the team to create and maintain a strong business relationship with both internal and external customers. As a leader of the Sales and Group Services teams, the incumbent must partner with other leaders and establish products that maximize overall revenues while considering guest value, market share and margin.
What Will I Be Doing?
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for recreation, lodging, F&B, projecting expected sales volume. Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Proactively establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and
demand.
Establish procedures and recommend changes in policies to achieve assigned objectives.
Proactively study product and experience trends in sales and new emerging ideas. Seek growth and expansion opportunities to penetrate markets, both domestically and internationally.
Coach and mentor employees to unite them around purpose and fun and to create a culture of
productivity, high quality, accuracy and revolutionary service experiences.
Nurture critical relationships with key departments to provide revolutionary guest experiences.
Ensure effectiveness of the Sales and Service division by creating accountability for quality and service standards, target achievement and compliance with policies
As needed, negotiate with specialists, contractors, clients and external organizations on matters
requiring closure or resolution.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional associations.
What Do You Need From Me?
Bachelor’s degree (Business administration major preferred)
At least ten years of sales experience in recreation industry, ski industry or hospitality, with 5-7 years in management. Experience in sales and service in recreation and ski/hotel is preferred.
Excellent negotiation, presentation, organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Strong computer skills and experience working with applications such as Salesforce(Delphi)
High degree of creativity, organizational and process-management skills
Self-motivated and competitive with strong interpersonal skills
